Tuesday 21st October 2003 - Day 38/273 - Kissimee, Florida

Same routine today, but this time a Disney dus to the 'Disney MGM Studiosd. The studios has lots of shows to demonstrate how TV and the like works. It has an 'Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular' (which is well rehearsed) and a studio backlot tour. I think we also proved that the Muppets are the best and funniest ever.

The biggest disappointment however was 'Star Tours', based on Star Wars. It really should have been much better.

MGM also contains the 2 best rides in Disney World. 'The Tower of Terror' simulates an elevator falling 13 floors and then takes you back up again to do it all over again. It didn't give me the same rush that the 'Detonator' in Thorpe Park did, but it was still fun. The other decent ride was the 'Rock n Roller Coaster' featuring Aerosmith, which blasts you from 0-60 in 2.8 seconds whilst taking your photo. You then loop the loop and corkscrew is complete darkness, whilst Aerosmith jam in the background.

We watched the 'Stars and Motor Cars Parade' and then took our seats, 2 hours in advance for 'The Fantasmic Show' at the end of the night. We did get the best seats in the house. 'The Fantasmic Show' sees sorcerer Mickey fighting Disney baddies in a fire, water, music and light extravaganza. I would have liked some more fireworks at the end of the night, but I'm just ultra picky. It was a good show.

Big up to Big Steve, who is coming out to visit me for New Year in Denver. I think he misses me.

Happy Birthday Drew (a little birdy tells me you've been watching).
