Saturday 3rd January 2004, Day 112/273 - Denver, Colorado.

The weather took a turn overnight and snow scuppered our plans to hire a car and take a ride out to the mountains. There's no point trying when we're not sure how far we'll get. We were up early anyway so went out and enjoyed the snow and cold weather. After all, this is why we chose to come to Denver. When it snows here, it properly snows, not the pathetic 1/2 inch of slush we get, that stops us from going to work for about 3 days.

The day is significant for another reason. It's FA Cup 3rd round day. The best day in domestic football back home and I'm missing it.

We went to the shops and made use of the favourable exchange rates. I bought another pair of Nike Cortez. It's great to be able to send things back with Big Steve.

We went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch, which is really nice and then went to see Paycheck in the cinema which was diabolical. I don't think that Ben Affleck is a bad actor, but he chooses some terrible roles. Paycheck had huge hype over here and it really didn't live up to expectations.
